Q1. Why should I use ANS Auto Smart Care and not just book directly with a garage?
When you book with ANS Auto Smart Care we take care of everything, so you can avoid the hassle of dealing with a garage directly. Just choose a date in the next 90 days and pay easily online. You can even get your vehicle picked up and dropped off with a service, subject to availability. Plus all garages are regularly checked and approved by us, and we'll check anything they say needs doing. You can be confident you're getting just what you need, to a high standard and at a fair price.
Q2. Are the garages all ANS Auto operated garages?
No, we've built up a network of independent garages. Every garage is inspected by our team before they're added to the network. Once signed up, we inspect them annually to ensure they continue to deliver against our high standards. We're constantly adding more garages to our network. One garage, ANS Autocentre in Dartford, is fully owned and operated by ANS Auto, where our technicians are trained to the highest industry standards.
Q3. Do I have to pay anything when making the booking?
We only take payment once the work is done, but we'll place a hold against your card for the value of the work when you confirm your booking. Or you can spread the cost of your booking in 4 interest-free instalments with Payment Assist (additional terms apply). You pay a 25% deposit by card with the booking, then Payment Assist will collect the next instalments on the same date in the following three months. The Payment Assist payment plan is interest-free, however you may be charged additional fees if you fail to make repayments
Q4. I put the wrong email address or phone number on my booking, what should I do?
If you need to change any booking details, or have any questions at any time, just call us on 0330 018 3446 or email Prestige-Smartcare@theaa.com.
Q5. What should I do if the garage calls me to change or cancel my booking?
Get in touch with us straight away and we'll make sure we book you in at a garage and time to suit you.
Q6. Can I be sure to get my vehicle back by a certain time?
We aim to have your car back with you by the time agreed when you book. If extra work is needed it may take a little longer, but we'll always keep you updated.
Q7. What should I do if my vehicle has an ANS Auto warranty?
You should refer to your warranty documentation on how to make a claim. You should not make a booking through this website.
Q9. How do I get a service for £138?
£138 is the cost of an interim service for a smaller vehicle with a small engine (for instance, a Toyota Aygo) before any discounts have been applied. The actual price depends on the size of your car and its engine. When you opt for a service, you'll be given a range specific to your vehicle, and the cost for each type will be clearly shown.
Q10. *Interest-free instalment option details
Payment will be split into 4 equal instalments, with the first 25% payable on a debit or credit card. Using this service will mean taking out a credit agreement with Payment Assist. Payment Assist can refuse credit, but the application process is immediate online, with no footprint left on the customers credit record. If the subsequent payments aren’t made on time, Payment Assist do reserve the right to charge a late payment fee.
Q11. Am I responsible for paying the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) charge or a clean air zone (CAZ) charge?
Yes, you'll need to pay the charge if your vehicle doesn't meet emission standards and someone from your chosen garage drives through a ULEZ or CAZ as part of our collect and return service. If the daily charge isn't paid, you're liable for any fines or penalty charge.
